USA Cycling is a family of organizations, including USCF and NORBA, that promote and govern different disciplines of the sport, and that work as one to build the sport of bicycle racing, assist with athlete development and sustain international competitive excellence.
USA Cycling offers a coaching education and certification program, designed to give each level of coach some general information regarding coaching cyclists of all abilities and in all cycling disciplines. As part of its coaching program, USA Cycling operates the USA Cycling Coaches Association ("USACCA").
USA Cycling issues three levels of coaching licenses--Elite, Expert and Club--with Elite representing the highest level of coaching license and Club the lowest. All license levels require satisfactory completion of an exam and CPR and First Aid certification. The Elite and Expert levels also require attendance at a multi-day clinic conducted by USA Cycling.
